Post breakups can be awkward, hurtful, and stressful. A typical stereotype of people who break up is that they hate each others guts and want nothing to do with them. Our goal was to find out if this statement is accurate or not. We interviewed ( ) exes about the past, the present, and future with them. We believe that the majority of couples we speak to will strongly dislike their ex. They will avoid them whenever they are present and have them erased form their phone contacts. Basically, we predict bitter attitudes towards each other.

Jake and Emma

(same questions)

1. Jake: Sophomore year. It was my first high school relationship. It was good, we never fought. It was your typical sophomore year relationship.
Emma: Jake was the complete opposite of my first boyfriend, and that's a good thing. He would always surprise me with little things and was super adorable.

2. Jake: At the movies. My mom dropped us off and picked us up.
Emma: Technically my front porch when we snuck out to see each other. But Apparently that doesn't count! So the movies.

3. Jake: By her pool in the backyard.
Emma: Yeah, by my diving board at the bottom of the stairs to my deck. Then he hopped my back fence to get home.

4. Jake: No.
Emma: I don't still like him, but I'll always care about him.

5. Jake: Single
Emma: Single wooooo!

6. Jake: Yes
Emma: Yeah

7. Jake: She broke up with me for a loser.
Emma: Definitely not. I broke up with him because I wasn't feeling it anymore.

8. Jake: I was pissed off and kind of upset.

9. Jake: Not now because I'm going off to college.
Emma: He's leaving or I'd consider it. It was an awfully long time ago though.

10. Jake: BEST FRIENDS!
Emma: I guess.

11. Jake: No, because that would mean no crazy girlfriend. And yes, because we would have been that couple that only hangs out with each other.
Emma: No because then he wouldn't have turned into a jerk.

Conclusion:
We decided that exes aren't ALWAYS enemies. Shelby and Sam obviously still have feelings for each other in some way and are still affected by the break up. On the other hand, Emma and Jake are more friendly with each other and are completely over their situation. Couples who dated longer, tend to take longer to move on. And that seems to be the only way it goes. Doing this project made us realize that just because two people did not get along, and maybe still don't, doesn't mean they won't eventually leave the past behind and settle their differences.
